A Look Back, A Step Forward

As we welcome the New Year, we wanted to take some time to appreciate the work done by all of our members, donors, volunteers, and you, the community of North County, in 2016.

Our Summer Backyard BBQ brought together artists, musicians, family and friends for a free afternoon of music, games, and fun at Bagby Beer Company. We had an excellent turn out and raised just over $2000 to go towards our 4DC Creative Scholarship. See a full video recap here.

Which brings us to our biggest news of 2016: awarding the inaugural 4DC Creative Scholarship to two talented Vista High School students, Amanda Spitzer and Sean Stover. We could not be more proud to see all of the hard work of our members and the generosity of the community materialize in the scholarship that will help these two pursue their creative passions. Meet Amanda and Sean here.

Thank you to all of our donors, volunteers, contributing artists and musicians, and to all of you that showed up to support the creative community of North County! We could not have done it with you.

But the world keeps turning, and as we bid farewell to 2016, we are excited to get back to business in the coming year. We will kick off 2017 with our 2nd annual winter gala Infinite Expression, an evening featuring art from local artists for purchase, music, live performances, and an art contest featuring Vista High School students. Tickets and info can be found here.
